IRC webinar - the use of FLOW for monitoring WASH service delivery in Ghana

On Wednesday 1 February 2012, Marieke Adank and Nicolas Dickinson from IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, shared their experiences with the monitoring of water services in three districts in Ghana. The tool that is being tested there is FLOW: Field level Operations Watch. FLOW brings together Android mobile phone technology and Google Earth software. FLOW lets field workers record data from water points or sanitation facilities. It helps the user assess whether or not facilities are functioning or are on the verge of disrepair. FLOW is a tool that has been developed by Water for People. This video shows the presentation given by Marieke and Nicolas. In another video we offer you the possibility to listen in to the discussion that followed the presentation. The IRC webinars are an initiative from the IRC team working on innovations in WASH. This team seeks to enhance learning and sharing of lessons on innovations in the WASH sector. Monthly lunch meetings are organised for IRC staff and broadcasted via the web so that others can follow, or download the presentation and discussion.
